Accessibility statement

OBC Air & Heat, LLC wants everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use cooling321.com, request service, request a quote and use Mikey, our free AC help assistant.

Our goal

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. We test pages with automated tools (axe-core and Pa11y) at desktop and mobile widths, and we check keyboard use by hand.

What we have done

  • A "Skip to main content" link, semantic headings and landmarks, and the page language set to English.
  • Visible keyboard focus on links, buttons and form fields, and full keyboard use of the menu, forms and Mikey.
  • Labels on every form field, with clear error messages that are announced to screen readers.
  • Text and button colors chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast.
  • Mikey opens as a labelled dialog. Messages are announced as they arrive, Escape closes it, and focus returns to the button that opened it.
  • Animations are reduced when your device asks for reduced motion.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images. Any videos we add will have captions.

Known limitations

Some content may not yet be fully accessible. We are reviewing it with assistive technology (screen readers and zoom) and will fix issues we find.
